Wimbledon, Radwanska vs Peng - Fantastic 3 hours match!

img214528747This is worth mentioning - I have just watched the II round tennis match Radwanska - Peng. The metch began very normal - there was much of fight from both sides. Radwanska was leading from the begining of the first set, althought Peng was also playing well. Radwanska won the first set 6:2 and nothing was annoncing the future string of cases.

The second set started very similar to the first one - Radwanska had an advantege of 3 gems. Few minutes later was 3:3 and rest of the second set gems were wining with both players. The tie break has began very good for Radwanka - had 3:0 but Radwanska wasnt the one who won this… Anyway second set for Peng!

The last set also started very good for Radwanska, who was winning 5:2.. Then was three or four match poins AND Peng won the all gems leading to a drew 5:5. AMAZING! Peng was playing VERY WELL and to be honest that is Peng who SHOULD win the metch, unfortinatly she didnt, although the last set ended 9:7 for Radwanska.

Ewerybody will surely remember the Peng’s play and so much defended match points that i cant even remember the number. It’s also worth saing that the match last fo over 3 hours and for most of the time both players were playing really fine!

Personally I think the Pengs great tennis carreer is at her fingertips and she will seize this opportunity! Best of luck for her and hope to see more matches like this one!

The Top Gear’s Stig Revealed!

Well this is new and kind a suprising and definetly an issue to read about while drinking morning coffe ;) Everyone that know the british Top Gear TV Show got used to the fact that noone knows the identity of the TG driver. It always was great subject to joke about it.. example? There were lots of it like:
- Some people says he’s banned for speeding in 17 US States.
- Some people says his brother is Chuck Norris.
- Some people says …. All we know - he’s called THE STIG :D

Btw as it occured he’s banned only in 9 US stated ;) It’s a little bit pity and a little bit nice that we know his identity. Pity of course becouse everybody will be missing the Stig identity jokes.. and nice becouse everybody wanted to know his identity :D

Anyway, You really should see the lap in Michaels personal Ferarri FXX, which have a hourse power very close to the Formula 1 car.. no comments ;) The most imppresive is that the fastest car from the Top Gear Power Lap Times list was Gumpert with the time of 1.17.1 and the michaels FXX made it IN…. 1.10.7 - SEVEN SECONDS FASTER - UNBELIEVABLE!

EDIT: I’m also wondering how much does Michael Schumacher paying for his car insurance - becouse it must be A LOT.. or maybe he has discounts becouse of not many car accidents in F1 Racings?! :DD

Below You can find a little longer interview with Michael Schumacher, but as a matter of fact it did not make any impression on me.. but maybe becouse I dont like Michael a lot.. The funny thing is that I always admired the Stig for his driving skill, so seems to me like a conflict of interests :D Anyway either You like him or not it’s worth watching the video below:

The begining is the best - Jeremy saying: …Your friend Ross Brown, You were with him in Beneton and Beneton was winning, then You went with him to Ferrari and Ferrari was winning, and now Ross is with BrownGP and BrownGP is winning so I dont wat to be impolied with this question, but mayby it wasnt You winning, maybe it was the car!! HEHE GOOD ONE! Schumacher for sure wasnt prepared for such a question :D

Air France crash: What do we known so far?

The crash. The evidence gathered so far, while not conclusive, suggests that the plane broke up at high altitudes. Two sets of bodies were found dozens of miles apart. It is not impossible that currents could account for the separation, but a high-altitude breakup is considered more likely.

Moreover, investigators say the bodies were dead before they hit the water. There was no water in the lungs of the dead – something that would suggest drowning.

The plane itself also offers potentially telltale clues: The last of the airplane computer’s messages reported that cabin pressure, usually maintained at an equivalent to an elevation of 10,000 feet, was dropping at a rate of 1,800 feet per minute.

Cabin pressure had been lost and one obvious cause could be that the plane was falling apart.

The cause. What is known is that the airplane’s flight path took it through an area of severe weather. What is also known is that the series of failures reported by the computer would have been difficult for pilots to handle even under ideal flying conditions. Strong turbulence would have made the job far more daunting.

Questions have centered around the plane’s flight speed and the Pitot tubes designed to measure it. One of the plane’s warning messages suggests that the computer was receiving conflicting data about how fast it was flying. Keeping an aircraft within an acceptable range of speed is crucial – and very difficult without speed data or autopilot in a storm. Too fast, and a pilot risks stressing the plane to the breaking point. Too slow and the plane loses lift.

That message was accompanied by a burst of others between 2:10 and 2:14 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time:

- The autopilot was turned off, though it is not clear if this was done by pilots or the computer.

- Gyroscopes needed to keep the plane flying level failed.

- The computers entered the plane into “alternate flight law” a sort of “safe mode” intended to prevent the pilots from making any drastic mistakes.

- The rudder limiter reported problems. The rudder limiter prevents pilots from turning the tail rudder too wildly at high speeds – an act that could shear the entire rear stabilizer off the plane.

This, in particular, is a curious clue, because the rear stabilizer has been found torn from the plane – the very thing the computer was trying to prevent.

- The primary, secondary, and flight-management computers failed.

The Times of London reports that a similar “incoherent cocktail of alarms” occurred six times on Air France flights since February 2008. Though pilots eventually regained control in those instances, one situation became so dire that the pilot issued a mayday call. In each case, the emergency appeared to be linked to Pitot tubes that malfunctioned in stormy weather, The Times concludes.

Airbus had suggested replacing Pitot tubes on its A330 aircraft. Air France had begun the work, but had not replaced the tubes on Flight 447.

The French Bureau of Investigations and Analyses, however, has refused to blame the Pitot sensors. Experts, too, caution against inferring a certain line of cause and effect while so much crucial information is still unknown.

What appears clear, though, is that the trouble mounted quickly. Flight 447’s pilots made no mayday or emergency transmission, and photos of the crew’s seats show them folded, meaning the crew had not yet returned to them in response to an emergency.

Also increasingly apparent is that the flight was not downed by a bomb. The bodies recovered so far have had no burns or shrapnel.

Air France Airbus Crush - next part!

On the post below, You can find Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS). Basically ACARS is a digital datalink system for transmission of short, relatively simple messages between aircraft and ground stations via radio or satellite.

A little bit of explanetion of the ACARS lines:

MAINTENANCE WARNING REPORT
—————————
A/C ID DATE FLTN
XXXXX 090614 XXXXX
ECAM WARNING MESSAGE
+————–+
GMT PH ATA SEQ DESCRIPTION
195X 06 27 90 400 F/CTL SENSOR FAULT

And now the translation:
1.) 34 43/06 -> ATA chapter 34-43 flightphase 6
2.) WRN WN0906010210 -> Warning! Date 09.06.01 0210UTC
3.) 344300506 NAV TCAS FAULT -> Failure code 344300 SEQUENCE 506 NAV TCAS FAULT
4.) 09-06-01 AF 447 -> IDENT

So we have warnings like:
Traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS Fault), primary and secondary flight control computers faults. Also: NAV ADR DISAGREE - means that, following an ADR fault or rejection, there is a speed or angle of attack disagreement between the two remaining ADRs. Primary Flight Display (PFD) and few others modules failed. This is real mess - what could happen that made so many failtures?

Air France Airbus A330 Crash - Seconds from disaster…?

rio-plane-crash-an-airbus-003Airbus A330 - one of the safest airplanes ever made - there was only one accident with this airplane in whole history. And what’s more important it was over 10 years ago.. This statistic would be very promissing if not the last month airbust related histories.

First crashes Air France Airbus, then for few days in a row few others Airbuses landing emergency (Norwegian Air, JetStar, Aeroflot and SAS). What’s with that? It’s almost impossible.. So my question is if Airbus is the safest or the most dangerous.. Personally I don’t like Airbuses (not mentioning I hate flying), more over I prefere Boings. Airbus make me feel like I would fly in some children toy, everything inside the jet is so plastic and baloney, but that’s only my opinion, I’ve heared a lot of opposite opinions, so that’s not the point.

The point is what could went so terribly wrong on 1st June 2009 in the Air france airbus and why? For sure we know only that there was a bad weather that night and airbus was flying over the storm. And that was the first clue of the crash investigators - lightning.. but let’s be serious - airplanes doesnt go down because of a lightning - there wasn’t any plane crush caused by a lightning for over 50 years. Althought, Airbus A330-200 i fully computerized so probably it may be a thin possibility, that most of the computer modules onboard went crazy or even were restarted? Don’t know..

Few days later I have read some articles discribing that some impact could have icing on the future diaster. Something about influence of ice on the plane speed and that pilots could fly to slow over the storm - Airbus few moths ago published some documentation suggestion increse speed while flying over the storm.. Now, just few hours ago I’ve read ther Air France have changed speedometers in ALL OF AIRBUSES and that this could have serious inpact on the crash. (?!) Also british The Times and french La Monde are giving the low speed of the airplane as the cause of the crash.

Another clue is that most of the bodies found in the atlantic was naked - that can point that airplane could torn apart into pieces before falling into the ocean, but something like that couldn’t be caused by a low speed problem. As You see there are lot of contradictions and probably, we won’t know what happend before the Air crush investigators verdict.

Another very interesing thing i’m presenting You below.. Few guys intercepted and published the list of warnings which were sended from 4.10 till 4.14 AM that day from the Airbus. I have to go now, but in the morning I’ll explaing every single line of this list.

warnings_airbus

And something more to think about - 4 minutes of non stopping warnings… Thats very very long - It may point on the pilots error, but of course I’m not an aviation expert. Anyway I must take a while till I’ll buy an airline ticket again :D

Change of plans!

Few words of explanation.. As I love coffee a lot, I thought this blog will be about coffee and coffe only, but doday I changed my mind ;) So from now on this blog will be about everything - I’ll try to write about interesting things so You could have something interesting to read while drinking DELICIOUS MORNING COFFE!

Antioxidants From Your Morning Coffee

Millions of Americans drink at least one cup of coffee every morning and usually more throughout the whole day. It gives them the energy they need to make it through the day and get everything on their list accomplished. But you have to ask yourself is coffee really healthy?

Many studies show that coffee helps to clear the drinker’s mind and of course give them energy like we stated previously. What most people don’t know is that besides it rich taste it also has the ability to provide many healthful antioxidants than most other foods and drinks that Americans consume on a regular basis.

But with every positive there is always a negative to balance things out. Too much of a good thing is never good and when you drink too much coffee it can turn you into a jitterbug and can raise your levels of cholesterol. That is why the majority of food experts say that when you drink coffee you need to do it in moderation.

Joe A. Vinson a chemistry professor at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania performed a study and learned the health benefits from coffee. “The point is, people are getting the most antioxidants from beverages, as opposed to what you might think,” Vinson said.

Researchers believe that antioxidants help to fight against cancer and to give our bodies other beneficial health benefits. Most antioxidants are found in tomatoes, grains, fruits, and vegetables. Vinson chose to study coffee after first researching the health benefits of tea and chocolate.

Both he and his team were able to analyze the amount of antioxidants in over 100 different foods that included nuts, spices, fruits, oils, vegetables, and some of the more common beverages. After doing this they were able to use the Agricultural Department information on the average patterns of food consumption to help them calculate how much these antioxidants help to contribute to someone’s diet.

Their results showed that an average adult will eat 1,299 milligrams of antioxidants from coffee on a daily basis. Many fruits and vegetables ranked in at 76 and 72 milligrams. But despite these good numbers Vinson does not believe that coffee is a good substitute for vegetables and fruits.

“Unfortunately, consumers are still not eating enough fruits and vegetables, which are better for you from an overall nutritional point of view due to their higher content of vitamins, minerals and fiber,” Vinson said.
